UMass Memorial Health was created to be many things, to serve many needs. At the core of our mission has been the charge to provide Central Massachusetts with outstanding medical care and to make that care available to all, regardless of ability to pay.


Christopher Marshall, MD

Christopher Marshall, MD, is currently the Clinical Chief of Gastroenterology at UMass Memorial Medical Center, having assumed this permanent role in 2021. Prior to this he served in multiple leadership roles within the division, including Associate Chief of Gastroenterology and Ambulatory Physician Leader. As Chief, he sits on multiple committees at the Medical Center, including chairing the Nutrition Advisory Committee and the Endoscopy Patient Experience Committee.

You are unique and so is your individual anatomy.  That’s why the UMass Memorial Arthritis and Joint Replacement Center is proudly offering its patients the benefit of Zimmer Biomet’s ROSA® Knee robotic technology. ROSA, which stands for Robotic Orthopedic Surgical Assistant, is designed to help specially trained joint replacement surgeons tailor the placement of knee implants to the patient’s anatomy.
