A Message From Milford Regional President Ed Kelly
For more than 120 years, Milford Regional Medical Center has cared for our community with dignity, compassion and respect. Our tradition of high-quality care is rooted in both medical expertise and the caregivers who provide that care – our doctors, nurses and staff who are most likely your neighbors as well.
Our caregivers are what make us special, and it is what defines us as a community hospital. It’s more than a location; it is a heartfelt commitment to providing the best care to our family, friends and neighbors close to home.
In 2024, Milford Regional took an important step to secure that commitment by becoming a corporate affiliate of UMass Memorial Health. Being part of a larger system unlocks access to enhanced services and treatments to advance our mission long into the future.
With the support of UMass Memorial Health, we have launched Epic, the premier electronic medical record system that offers patients a more seamless, connected and efficient health care experience. Our relationship with UMass Memorial also allows for greater investments in technology and other advancements to enhance our care delivery.
Our longstanding collaboration with UMass Memorial dates back to 1991 when Milford Regional Medical Center became the first hospital to clinically affiliate with UMass Memorial Medical Center. Since then, many additional clinical and educational programs have been created with UMass Memorial Health to bolster the level of care offered to the Greater Milford community.
It’s also important to note that we continue to maintain clinical relationships with other trusted healthcare partners, as evidenced by the Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center, the Boston Children’s pediatric clinic, the American Red Cross Blood Donor Center, and our recent joint venture with Shields Health to provide advanced imaging services.
Milford Regional is proud to be the provider and employer of choice for our 20-town service area, and we welcome the opportunity to continue to care for you and your family.
Sincerely,
Ed
